SANTA SEND-OFF will take place at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 24 on Main
Street, St. Charles. The send-off will begin at 1000 S. Main St.
and ends at 200 S. Main St. Participants will send Santa back to
the North Pole with well wishes.

SNOWBALL CAMP will take place Dec. 26-30 at Progress Park
Center, 968 Meyer Road, Wentzville. Camp is for children ages 6-12
years. This is a winter break camp where children will participate
in indoor games, sports, crafts and more. The camp will meet from 9
a.m.-3 p.m. Cost is $70 for Wentzville residents and $85 for
non-residents. There is a before and after camp available for an
additional charge: sunrise or sunset is $25 for Wentzville
residents and $30 for non-residents or a sunrise/sunset combo is
$40 for Wentzville residents and $50 for non-residents. Advance

The NEW YEAR’S EVE LOCK-IN will take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 31 at
the St. Peters Rec-Plex, 5200 Mexico Road, St. Peters. Event will
continue through the night and end at 7 a.m. Jan. 1. The event is
for ages 8-13. There will be swimming, ice skating and games. Cost
is $50 for St. Peters residents; $60 to the general public; and
free to Rec-Plex GOLD PLUS members. Registration is required in

on Dec. 31 until 1 p.m. and will be subject to a late charge of

A SOCIAL DANCE CLASS will take place from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Wednesdays, starting Jan. 4 at the Renaud Spirit Center, 2650 Tri
Sports Circle, O’Fallon. Participants will learn a new dance each
week. Instruction includes salsa, swing, cha-cha and couple’s
choice. Participants need to register with a partner. Cost is $64
per couple for O’Fallon residents and $72 for non-resident couples.

BINGO will take place Jan. 1 at the Wentzville American Legion
Auxiliary, 504 Luetkenhaus Blvd. (formerly Old Business 61),
Wentzville. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and bingo will start at 2 p.m.
The event will include a 40-inch flat screen television giveaway,
along with at $3,600 payout, $1,175 Progressive game, Speedball
game, Horse Derby and more. Food and drink will be available. The
hall includes two floors — one for smoking and one for non-smoking.

ONGOING

The HOLIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS DRIVE will take place from 6-10 p.m.
daily through Dec. 30 (closed Dec. 25) at Rotary Park, 2577 W.
Meyer Road, Foristell. This is a one-mile light display that
features large commercial scenes and tunnels. Cost is $8 per
vehicle (up to six people); and vans, buses or limos must pay an
additional $1 per person beginning with the seventh person. For

The 19TH ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF LIGHTS display will take place
nightly through Dec. 30 (except Dec. 25) in Fort Zumwalt Park, 1000
Jessup Drive, O’Fallon. Visitors can go through in a vehicle from
6-9 p.m. Sundays and Tuesdays-Thursdays and 6-10 p.m. Fridays and
Saturdays. Cost is $9 per car; $15 per van (all sizes); and $1 per
person on tour bus and must have a $25 minimum. There will be a
Tuesday Night Special, $7 per non-commercial vehicle. Train rides
can be reserved for Dec. 19 and 26. No other vehicles will be
allowed in the park. The train ride cost is $7 per person for ages
12 and up; $5 for children ages 1-11; and free for infants 11
months and under. Reservations are required in advance and must be
made for everyone. Sleigh hayrides will be available on Tuesdays,
Wednesdays and Thursdays. Cost for sleigh hayrides is $100 for
groups of 25 or more and reservations are required. To make a train

TRAINS ON MAIN will take place through Dec. 31 at the Frenchtown
Heritage Museum, 1121 N. Second St., St. Charles. The exhibit is
open from 6:30-9 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays; 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
Saturdays; noon-5 p.m. Sundays; and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 24.

MODEL TRAIN VILLAGE AND HANDCRAFTED SLEIGH is currently on
display at St. Peters City Hall, 1 St. Peters Centre Blvd. The
public is invited to stop by the lobby to view a train display,
complete with push button controls participants can use to start
some of the animation features. A life-size sleigh will also be on
display for photo opportunities. The train display was created by
Darrell Reinwald. The sleigh was hand crafted by Dan Zatroski, a
St. Peters resident. Both displays will be available for viewing
throughout the holiday season.

MY SHADOW ME, an exhibition of works by student artists
working in a variety of media, as well as the work of the faculty
who teach them, will run through Jan. 6, 2012, at the Foundry Art

St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre will host the WHO LET THE COW

The Concert Arts Association will have REHEARSALS Monday
