A fire broke out in a 14th century listed building in Edinburgh.
Fire crews were called to Cramond Tower in Cramong Glebe Road at 1.40am on Thursday.
The found a blaze in the roof space of the four-storey building and took two hours to put it out. Firefighters stayed until 8am to salvage the damage and make the building safe.
No one was injured and the full extent of the damage is yet to be assessed. An investigation is under way into the cause of the fire.
Cramond Tower is a Grade 1 listed building. It was the home of the Bishops of Dunkeld for over 200 years before being sold to an English merchant in the 17th century.
After 200 years lying unoccupied, it was bought by the current owner in the 1970s. George Jamieson, a taxidermist, has also added an extension on to the building.
