Goodwood tickets go on sale next week – and may shift fast

Goodwood have announced tickets will be on sale for their 2012 fixtures from monday (December 5).

The gates open on Saturday, May 5 with a further four days’ racing in May that will include the return of the May Festival which runs from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 and includes more than £300,000 in prize money and a collection of Listed races.

June will follow on from the exciting start to the season with the return of the highly-acclaimed Three Friday Nights that were launched in 2011 and saw the paddock transformed as people flocked to the dance floor after racing, to the sounds of three floor-filling DJs.

This year’s DJs will be announced in January.

Glorious Goodwood will again see many highlights in 2012 and commences with an opening ceremony – a celebration of the festival’s living legends and the 200th running of the Goodwood Cup.

Glorious is run slightly later in the 2012 racing calendar, from July 31 to August 4.

August features a three-day bank-holiday festival on Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 – three sublime days of racing and fun topped off by the Group 2 Celebration Mile.

The season draws to a close with two days of racing in September – on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 26 – and the grand finale on Sunday, October 14.

Goodwood have managed to hold many of the package prices for 2012 and there is only a small increase on ticket prices.

New for 2012:

* Online booking discount for all remaining fixtures

* Fine dining experiences bookable on-line

Goodwood anticipate high volumes in tickets sales with the potential sell-outs for the Three Friday Nights in Juneand the Thursday and Saturday of Glorious.
