“Spirit of an Appalachian Region: Contemporary Artists Reflect on Southeast Ohio.” Majestic Galleries is running the second viewing of this show, formerly at the OSU Urban Arts Space in downtown Columbus, Ohio. Through Dec. 18.

Hocking College Art Gallery presents Opening Night: Holiday Student Art Show featuring ceramic and glass art and gifts, and photography from the Hocking College art students. This show runs trough Dec. 17. Part of Final Fridays.

“Another Language Altogether: Posters Celebrating the Poems of Wendy McVicker” will open at the Stuart’s Opera House Gallery 1879 on Final Friday. 6-10 p.m. The exhibit will run through Jan. 17. Annual Christmas Food Basket Program: Offered by the Nelsonville and York Twp. fire departments. For this 63rd year firefighters expect to distribute over 200 food baskets at a cost of more than $6,000. Applications for Christmas food baskets will be available on Friday, Nov. 25, and must be returned by Saturday, Dec. 3. Applications will be available at the Nelsonville water office and the Nelsonville Fire Department. Approved baskets will be delivered on Saturday, Dec. 17.
