Acclaim Health Alzheimer Services offers a support group for family members caring for persons with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia upstairs at the Real Canadian Superstore (Main Street and Thompson Road) from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Call (905) 827-9559 for more information or to register.

The Milton Seniors’ Activity Centre, 500 Childs Dr., holds a foot care clinic from  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $25  payable to the nurse. Call the centre at (905) 875-1681 to book an appointment. The centre also holds billiards from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., guitar club from 9:30 to 11 p.m., Learn to Play Euchre from 10 to 11 a.m., line dancing from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Walking Club from 10 a.m. to noon, Book Club from 11 a.m. to noon. folk art from 1 to 4 p.m., Memoirs Club from 2 to 4 p.m. and table tennis from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Each activity costs $2 for members and $4.25 for non-members. Bid Euchre is held from 1:30 to 4 p.m., and Contract Bridge from 2 to 4 p.m., each for $2.50 for members and $4.25 for non-members. The Milton Historical Society meets at 7:30 p.m. at Waldie’s Blacksmith Shop, 16 James St. The speaker is John McDonald, who introduces his new book, ‘Halton Heritage, William Halton and Halton County’. Everyone is welcome.

Friday Nov. 18

Milton Concert Presentations presents Bach to Bebop with Chris Donnelly on piano and Kornel Wolak on clarinet, featuring jazz (Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and classical music (Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto). The 2011 Town and Country Christmas House Tour is presented by Springridge Farm for the United Way of Milton.
