EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Wide receiver Santonio Holmes, listed as questionable with knee and quadriceps injuries, played for the New York Jets in Sunday’s 32-3 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars at MetLife Stadium.

Holmes opened the scoring for the Jets, catching a touchdown pass from Mark Sanchez to put New York up 7-0.
On Friday, coach Rex Ryan was non-committal on Holmes, who pulled his quadriceps while running Thursday in practice. Holmes, in a radio interview Friday, said the decision would be made Sunday morning by team doctors.
The Jaguars weren’t as fortunate with one of their starting receivers, Jason Hill, who was declared inactive because of a hip injury. Earlier in the week, Hill created a story when he told a Florida newspaper that cornerback Darrelle Revis was overhyped by the New York media.
Revis’ response: “I don’t even know who that dude is.” Ryan was bemused when told there was a chance Hill wouldn’t play, saying, “You’re kidding, right?”
The Jaguars also were without tight end Marcedes Lewis (pulled calf).
As expected, linebacker David Harris, hampered by tendon damage to one of his toes, also was in the Jets’ starting lineup. So was safety Eric Smith, who was questionable after spraining an ankle in practice.
