France: Three months after Gallic raider Pour Moi ended hopes of a royal victory in the Investec Derby, the Queen’s colours make a rare foray to France on Saturday.

Humdrum (Richard Hannon/Thierry Thulliez) contests the Listed Prix Occitaine over 1m1½f at Bourdeaux Le Bouscat, a race confined to three-year-old fillies that has attracted 13 runners.

Humdrum was last seen finishing sixth to Theyskens’ Theory over 1m at Sandown, only the third time the daughter of Dr Fong has failed to reach the frame in nine starts.

The Queen’s most recent runner in France was the Hannon-trained Quadrille, who finished eighth in the Group 2 Prix Eugene Adam at Maisons-Laffitte last season.

The highly-rated Peinture Abstraite is the likely favourite on the pari-mutuel.

The Wildenstein Family’s Holy Roman Emperor filly has not been seen since finishing runner-up to Beatrice Aurore in the Group 3 Prix Chloe at the beginning of July.
