AUSTRALIAN all-rounder Shane Watson has been shortlisted for two ICC Awards ahead of next month’s ceremony in London.

Watson is in contention for the one-day player of the year alongside Hashim Amla of South Africa, India’s Gautam Gambhir and Sri Lanka skipper Kumar Sangakkara.

The Queenslander is also nominated for the Twenty20 International Performance of the year for his 59 off 31 balls against England in Adelaide in January.

Watson is the only Australian shortlisted for an award.

England batsmen Alastair Cook and Jonathan Trott are in the running for Cricketer of the Year along with Amla and last year’s winner India great Sachin Tendulkar.

Trott and Cook are also shortlisted for the Test Player of the Year alongside England team-mate James Anderson and South Africa’s Jacques Kallis.
