1. The IronBirds Fall to Scrappers, 14-3. In the third series game against the Scrappers, Mahoning Valley scored nine runs in the first three innings. When a storm hit in the eighth inning and dropped the power at Ripken Stadium, the game was called early, according to an IronBirds press release

A fine arts show, sponsored by the Wilson Ministry Center in the village of Darlington, will be held Friday, September 23 through Sunday, September 25, 2011. This juried show is open to all artists in the Harford, Cecil, Baltimore and lower Pennsylvania county region.

Mail up to three photos of your work with $15 entry fee payable to the Wilson Ministry Center (tax deductible) to: Ms. Nancy Welsh, 2122 Shuresville Rd., Darlington, MD 21034. Deadline is Wednesday, August 31. No photography, prints or computer generated art will be accepted. Entry fee and 10 percent of sales benefit the Wilson Center.
