Poll: Most Significant Post-Lockout Bills Story To Date

It has been a whirlwind week in the NFL, with the Buffalo Bills, and here at Buffalo Rumblings. The Bills, in the last five days, have signed 29 rookies (20 undrafted, nine drafted) – and those stories weren’t good enough to be amongst the five most noteworthy stories of the week. As a way to recap the flurry of activity, we’re asking you which story line from this week was the most significant to the future of the team. Events are listed chronologically.

Paul Posluszny departs: The free agent linebacker signed a six-year, $42 million deal (with $15 million guaranteed) with the Jacksonville Jaguars, agreeing to terms Tuesday night.

Tyler Thigpen arrives: Also on Tuesday night, the Bills agreed to terms with Thigpen, a Chan Gailey protege (of sorts), on a three-year deal. He’ll back up Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Drayton Florence re-signs: After losing Posluszny, the Bills quickly wrapped up a three-year, $15 million deal with their best defensive back.

Targets sign elsewhere: Four free agent targets of the Bills – tackles Willie Colon and Tyson Clabo, pass rusher Jason Babin and linebacker Kevin Burnett – sign elsewhere.

Chan gets Slash 2.0: With Kordell Stewart in mind, the Bills signed jack-of-all-trades threat Brad Smith to a four-year, $15 million deal. He’ll do everything while serving as the Bills’ third quarterback.
