Preserve at Cardinal Creek, a golf course community in Beecher, will be the site of bidding July 31 on 16 single-family homes and town homes.

The close-out auction will be held at Cardinal Creek Golf Course, 615 Dixie Highway. Registration will begin at 1 p.m., and bidding will start at 2 p.m.

Opening bids range from $15,000 for home sites backing the golf course, $79,000 for town homes and $139,900 for single-family homes. The single-family homes previously were listed for $384,990 and town homes for $253,200.

Houses offer a minimum of 1,867 square feet of living space, and town homes start at 1,259 square feet and go up to 1,989 square feet.

Open houses will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. July 10, 17 and 24, said Paul Rogers, president of Inland Real Estate Brokerage Auctions Inc.

“This is a great opportunity to view each of the models or home sites, talk with our people and ask questions about the property and the auction process,” Rogers said.

Amenities include fireplaces, granite countertops, maple cabinets, full basements and vaulted ceilings.

The development offers access to the 27-hole golf course, clubhouse, heated swimming pool, children’s playground and a walking/jogging path that leads to a new Beecher school. Ponds, mature trees and a creek are on the 200-acre development in Will County.
