BOTTI SEEKS RULE OF LAW

Law Of The Range is set to graduate to Listed class after winning her second successive big handicap of the season.

The four-year-old filly kicked on a long way from home to score over seven furlongs at Sandown on Saturday.

She had earlier struck over a mile at Ascot and will revert to the longer distance when she tackles Listed company next month.

“She’s a tough filly. We were worried the ground might be a bit too tacky for her, but she keeps progressing all the time,” said trainer Marco Botti.

“I think we are going to step her up in class and go for one of the Listed races in July. There are a few options such as Pontefract and Haydock.

“The plan always was to try to win another big handicap and then step her up in class. She will go up a few more pounds now so her next target will be a Listed race.

“A mile is her best trip, but yesterday we thought a stiff seven at Sandown would be fine and she did it well. We know she stays a mile and the Listed races we are looking at are over that trip.”
