Memorial Day ceremonies. American Legion Post 912, Pratt Street, Rouses Point. At St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rouses Point, 9 a.m.; Maple Hill Cemetery, Route 11, 9:20 a.m.; St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Coopersville, 9:40 a.m.; and Dodge Memorial Library, Rouses Point, 10 a.m. A light luncheon served at 11 a.m. at Post 912.
Memorial Day Solemn Tour of Crown Point Cemeteries. 9 a.m. to noon. Crown Point. Honors military veterans.
Annual Wreath-laying Ceremony. 11 a.m. Fort Ticonderoga, 100 Fort Road, Ticonderoga. Join a procession from the fort to the American cemetery led by the Fife and Drum Corps.
Memorial Day Parade and Memorial Service. 10 a.m. Elizabethtown. Parade starts at 10 a.m. from Hand House by the History Center Museum, proceeds south on Court Street and ends by the Elizabethtown Golf Course. Memorial Day Service by American Legion posts follows in Windsor Park on Court Street at about 10:30 a.m.
American Legion Post 504 Memorial Service. 11 a.m. Veterans Monument, Main Street, AuSable Forks. The public is welcome, especially children. Followed by a light lunch.
Crown Point Memorial Day Parade. 2 p.m. Starts at Ferry Road at Monitor Bay and continues down Main Street to Crown Point Town Park.
“The Great War: World War I in Saranac Lake.” 1 to 3 p.m. Saranac Laboratory, John Black Room, Saranac Lake. Memorial Day open hoCuse exhibit. 891-4606.
Webster Street Cemetery, Malone. Open to the public noon to 5 p.m. Members of the Adirondack Daughters of the American Revolution will be present to answer questions. Many of Malone’s early pioneer families and many veterans are buried there.
