The road sign was put up earlier in the week

A road sign for a grade-one listed monument in Shropshire has been spelt incorrectly.

The sign for the aqueduct at Longdon-upon-Tern was spelt with an “a” instead of an “e” in the middle.

Resident Brian Heaven said: “I think it’s appalling.”

A Telford Wrekin Council spokesman said: “We will be replacing this in a matter of days and in the meantime the sign has been covered to avoid any confusion.”
