Hereford United are releasing seven players and putting two more on the transfer list as they start team building plans for next season.

Centre-half Janos Kovaks and striker Sean Canham are the two players to be listed while Sam Gwynne, Sam Malsom, Adrian Patulea, Richard Rose, Daniel Stratford, Aidan Thomas and Ryan Valentine are all being released.

“All the players have given the club all they can this season and have played a part. There have been some very hard decisions but they’ve had to be made and I’ve sat down with each and every player over the last few days to talk things through. We wish them all the luck in the world for the future,” explained manager Jamie Pitman.

On the listing of Kovaks and Canham the Bulls manager commented, “It’s obvious from the way we finished the season that Janos and Sean were unable to win a place in the starting line-up so it’s only fair to them to give them the opportunity of finding a first-team place.”

Youngster Tyler Weir has agreed a deal to keep him at Edgar Street for a further year whilst Rob Purdie is in talks with the club over extending his stay.
