Elas Diamond will not run in the Investec Oaks after suffering a setback in training.

Jeremy Noseda’s filly was last seen finishing second to 1000 Guineas heroine Blue Bunting in the Listed Montrose Stakes at Newmarket last October.

The aim was to get her back on track for the Musidora Stakes at York, using that as a springboard towards the Oaks.

“Elas Diamond has had an interrupted preparation this spring,” the Shalfleet handler said on www.jeremynoseda.com.

“She had a slight setback at the weekend again which has forced us to abandon plans to run her in the Musidora and the Oaks.”

Elas Diamond had been around a 20/1 chance to scoop Classic glory on June 3.
