PDEA-10 catches up with watch-listed drug personalities

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Misamis Oriental, May 1 (PIA) — A simultaneous buy-bust operation and serving of warrant of arrest in Barangay San Martin, Villanueva, this province, last April 29, resulted in capture of at least two (2) watch-listed drug personalities (WLDP).

Lt. Col. Edwin F. Layese (Ret), Director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), region 10, said his operatives who conducted the operations arrested the following suspects:

Julius Sabio Lozadam, who is under the PDEA 10 WLDP, male, married, 38 years old, “mason/panday” and Vicente Nalagon Daya, male, 59 years old, married, tailor, both residing at the above-mentioned place.

They were arrested after conniving to sell one (1) piece small size heat-sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu to a PDEA undercover agent.

Meanwhile, the PDEA-10 operatives, in the course of serving the warrant of arrest to Elmer Agusan Factura, also a WLDP, male, 39 years old, college level, jobless, also caught his brother, Nicasio Agusan Factura, male, 32 years old, single, fighting-cock handler.

Both were “caught in the act” of repacking illegal drugs believed to be shabu at their residence.

Suspects are now temporarily detained at PDEA 10 Regional Office for booking and documentation while drug and non-drug evidences were brought to PNP Crime Laboratory for quantitative and qualitative examinations. Case for violation of RA 9165 is being prepared for appropriate charges in court.

Relatedly, last April 27, a buy-bust operation in B39 L33 Vamenta Subdivision, Barra, Opol, this province, identified another WLDP, a certain Lauli Caiaran Zosa a.k.a “Mother Lily,” female, 50 years old, but was at large on the said operation.

Drug items recovered weighs a total of more or less 27.3 grams with a Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value amounting to Php324,000. (PDEA/PIA-10)
