Luca Cumani is looking forward to seeing his exciting filly Seta get her season underway in the totepool EBF Conqueror Stakes at Goodwood on Saturday.
The Pivotal filly was disappointing when well fancied for the 1000 Guineas this time last year, but she went on to win her next three starts, including twice in Listed company.
She makes her return at the same level this weekend and Cumani is keen to see how she fares before making future plans.
“Seta runs at Goodwood, where she faces six rivals headed by Anna Salai, who was second in the Irish 1000 Guineas last year after which she had only one more run,” said the Italian.
“Seta has done well over the winter and we’ve been happy with the way she is working and this looks a good starting-off point.
“The idea this year is to see if she can finish her races off better and whether consequently we can gradually step her up to a mile and a quarter,” he told his official website, www.lucacumani.com.
