Fort Worth, TX (WiredPRNews.com) Running for re-election, the President just this week held town halls in three states, arriving in Grand Style on Air Force One and granting coveted interviews to local TV news anchors. Obama’s busy week leaves no doubt that his 2012 campaign is underway.
His town hall Facebook meeting on Wednesday was “unavailable” to viewers for 39 minutes after it was flooded with comments posted by a conservative group’s “online army” demanding that the president “Repeal Obamacare,” For 39 minutes during the president’s town hall Facebook meeting a screenshot displayed the message: “Event Unavailable. We’re sorry, this event isn’t working right now. Please try again later.”
A conservative group, had urged its followers on Facebook to post the following comment as the president was holding his town hall meeting from Facebook headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif.: “It’s not a tough choice, Mr. President. You have added $3.5 TRILLION to the debt already, the first thing we should do is repeal Obamacare!” Within a few minutes, the town hall page was taken down and labeled ‘unavailable,’ and it was down for at least 39 minutes. When it was restored, no new comments were allowed for several more minutes.
Obama’s approval ratings are among the lowest of his presidency and with our Economy in Crisis and gas prices sky rocketing to the highest prices ever recorded, this will no doubt effect voters decision come 2012. When you log on to social media outlets you will find plenty opposition groups and pages such as Out Obama 2012. The domain www.OutObama2012.com was just listed on Ebay for sale and has received plenty of traffic. It appears it will be a little longer before we know who the 2012 republican presidential candidates will be, but one thing is for sure as they begin campaigning we will see more and more slogans such as Obama 2012 and Out Obama 2012.
So the question remains are Americans so upset over the direction of our country that they will chose to Out Obama 2012?
