Clock This is from a smart ‘car boot’ sale from France where you can
buy amazing family heirlooms and antiques that people clear out of their
attics. This clock has a chime not unlike that of Big Ben. It’s carved wood,
from the Thirties and it works
Chrysler Building We went recently to New York and we could see this
building from our hotel window. It’s actually a jigsaw, which took us a
whole afternoon to assemble, like a flat-pack
Print My wife gave this to me as a 40th birthday present, which she
bought in France. It is a self-portrait of the French stencilist Blek le
Rat, who was a major influence on Banksy. It is called The Man Who Walked
Through Walls and is a limited edition
Fireplace It is enormous; almost as tall as me at six-feet high. It’s
incredibly ornate, carved wood, with cherubs and swags and thought to be a
Lutyens design. We have massive trees in the garden which drop lots of
timber to use as fuel
