The Linton city-wide sale is the perfect opportunity to clean out your closets as well as look for a bargain.
This year’s sale is slated for May 21 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The annual sale is an opportunity for locals to work together as a community.
“This year it will be free to get your sale listed on the official yard sale map. Everyone having a sale needs to be on the map, there is no reason not to be listed,” explained Dave Benefiel, who serves as a co-organizer of the event.
The Linton Public Library will also be renting 10 X 10 booth spaces for those who may live in rural areas surrounding the city or may need space for your organization to host a fundraiser, he added.
Booth space at the library is available for $15 — which is payable in cash by May 19 and check by May 18.
Look for a Linton Area Musicians’ Swap Meet to be held in conjunction with the sale in the parking lot behind Markle Music in downtown Linton.
To get listed on the map, email lintoncitywideyardsale@gmail.com and give your physical address as well as four descriptive words about your sale, Benefiel added.
The city-wide spring sale got its start May 30, 2009 — with a similar fall sale added in 2010.
