Fresh off a scintillating first-place runner-up tied for fourth-place finish at the 2011 Masters, Tiger Woods is the favorite to win the 2011 U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md. The latest 2011 U.S. Open odds from Bodog.com place Woods as a 6-1 favorite to take down the title. I guess I should be less surprised than I am, but given his struggles throughout the last calendar year, it’s interesting that one good day at the Masters is enough to vault him up this list.
Phil Mickelson comes in next, with a 10-1 chance to take down the crown, followed by Lee Westwood and Rory McElroy, who led for most of the Masters before a disastrous final day, at 16-1. Charl Schwartzel, the 2011 Masters champion, has a 33-1 chance to take down the U.S. Open championship.
The 2011 U.S. Open Championship will take place from June 16-19 at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda.
