David Lindley

Harry Manx
One of the world’s most original Folk-World-Blues musicians, Harry Manx is known as an “essential link” between the music of East and West for his innovative mix of traditional blues and classical Indian ragas. A master of the Mohan Veena (a modified twenty-string slide guitar) and lap-slide guitar, Harry combines the mysticism of Indian music with the mudflat-blues of Mississippi to quickly envelop listeners into what has been dubbed “the Harry Zone”. Harry’s warm, rich vocals and the hauntingly beautiful melodies of his original songs create magic between him and the audience, and have made him a crowd favourite around the globe.

David Lindley
Lindley, well known for his many years as the featured accompanist with Jackson Browne, and leader of his own band El Rayo-X, has long championed the concept of world music. The David Lindley electro-acoustic performance effortlessly combines American folk, blues, and bluegrass traditions with elements from African, Arabic, Asian, Celtic, Malagasy, and Turkish musical sources. Lindley incorporates an incredible array of stringed instruments including but not limited to Kona and Weissenborn Hawaiian lap steel guitar, Turkish saz and chumbus, Middle Eastern oud, and Irish bouzouki.
The eye-poppingly clad “Mr. Dave’s” uncanny vocal mimicry and demented sense of humor make his onstage banter a highlight of the show.
