Celebrate National Library Week at the Concord Public Library today through next Saturday. The theme this year is “Create Your Own Story at Your Library.”
The Concord Public Library will feature exciting events: book discussions, musical performances, public coffees, comedic mimes and much more. The Monitor has listed these events, and as has the library website.
Public libraries and local government create sustainable communities by achieving economic vitality, environmental quality and social equity. The public library is a major player in the community’s infrastructure. It is an asset to local government because it can draw on the library for community outreach.
We are all acutely aware of what the library means to the community and how it contributes to the quality of life, small business services and job connectivity/job searching for local residents.
Public libraries are the last vestige of a true democracy that serves all. Come celebrate our library and all it has to offer!
