HTC Droid Incredible 2 & Samsung Droid Charge: Prices Listed, Fair?

HTC Droid Incredible 2 Samsung Droid Charge: Prices Listed, Fair?

For many the choice of what mobile handset to buy can be somewhat confusing, and as well as having to decide what purpose your phone will serve be it leisure, business or both, price plays a huge part in your final decision. This is why today, we can bring you news on another 2 handsets making their way to us in the coming weeks, or so rumor has it, let us announce the Droid Incredible 2 from HTC and the Droid Charge from Samsung.

As well as the obvious iPhone 4 that is still proving to be as popular as ever, there are new handsets just out on the market such as the HTC Thunderbolt running on Verizon’s 4G LTE network which despite teething problems is still fairing well, so what prices can you expect to pay for the new Droid offerings.

Firstly the Incredible 2 which just 2 days ago was compared to the Droid Bionic plus others from our very own Debbie here at OSM, is due for release on the 28th April and gizmocrunch.com via Droid Life has reported this to be at least $199 which can be seen on a leaked price chart below.

As our source quite rightly pointed out, on comparison to the HTC Thunderbolt which carries 4G LTE, (a feature that many of you want included) and is retailing for $249, and the Incredible 2 that will not enjoy the LTE benefits, it is sitting in the middle with regards to price, although if the cost does increase, then this could be deemed as being on the “hefty” side.

If we then look at the Samsung Droid Charge due to release on 7th April which will carry Verizon’s LTE network, this has been priced at a higher $299 on the price chart.

What are your thoughts on the 2 forthcoming handsets? Would you be willing to pay the above prices or not?
