Jane Chapple-Hyam would like to see some rain for her two big-race contenders at Doncaster next Saturday.
The Newmarket trainer is looking forward to running Norman Orpen in the William Hill Lincoln or, if he does not make the cut for the big handicap, the Spring Mile consolation race.
She will also saddle Brave Prospector in the Cammidge Trophy, a Listed sprint over six furlongs.
“Norman Orpen is heading to Doncaster. If he doesn`t get in the Lincoln, there’s the consolation race,” she said.
“I just hope there’s some rain on the way. I know Doncaster drains quick, but I reckon the rain will come Thursday or Friday. That would suit us.
“I’ve got Brave Prospector running in the six-furlong Listed race and I’m looking forward to that. As least he’s coming off the all-weather a fit horse. I’d just like a bit of rain a day or two before for both horses.”
