Minot State University will host a Beaver 5k Romp Road Race: Registration at 8:30 a.m., race at 10 a.m., MSU Dome. The road race is open to all age divisions. The entry fee is $15 per person. For more information, visit the Web site at (www.msubeavers.com).
Minot Area Chamber of Commerce’s Saturday Legislative Forum: 9 to 11 a.m., Minot Municipal Auditorium’s Room 201. The forum is open to the public and gives people a chance to ask legislators about pending legislation and discuss legislative issues.
Montessori of Minot will have a Spring Craft Fair: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the school in Lynch Immanuel Church, 18301 Highway 83 N., 1/4 mile north of Minot Air Force Base. Montessori offers preschool and early elementary education.
Free weekly soup kitchen (breakfast): 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Congregational United Church of Christ basement, east door, 430 N. Broadway.
The Minot FFA Alumni will hold the 15th annual fundraising auction: 11 a.m., North Dakota State Fair Center Theater Building, State Fairgrounds, Minot. Proceeds will go toward helping with travel expenses when the Minot FFA chapter attends state and national conventions and also for scholarships for secondary education.
The 25th annual Military Affairs Committee Prairie Warrior Competition Auction: Preview of auction merchandise and hors d’oeuvres at 5:30 p.m.; auction at 6:30 p.m., Holiday Inn-Riverside, Minot. There is a $20 charge at the door. Each year, the event raises money to help with the expenses for Minot Air Force Base competitions and to underwrite events designed to improve the morale of the men and women stationed at Minot AFB.
An All Girl Extravaganza art and music event: 6 p.m., Pangea House, 109 W. Central Ave. Musicians and artists will include Abby Biersy (Bierschbach); Haley Hanna; Carly Ann; Jazmine Wolff; Katie Langemo; Savannah Ripplinger; Rust-ick and Mindy Mae Dodson. The suggested donation is $5 per person.
