Minot State University’s chapter of the National Students Speech Language Hearing Association’s 2011 spring conference: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., MSU Student Union, Conference Center, third floor. Li-Rong Lilly Cheng will talk about “A Quest for Cultural Competence.” She is a professor in the School of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences and the director of Chinese Studies Institute at San Diego State University. The conference is for speech-language pathologists, educators, university faculty and students. On-site registration is $75 or free for all MSU faculty and students.
