Minot State University Brown Bag Book Talk: noon, Gordon B. Olson Library. Kevin Neuharth of the MSU Communication Arts Department will discuss the book “A Different Direction: 7 Possibilities for Saving the (Barely) Living Theatre,” by John Ahart. The book talk is free and open to the public.

The MSU Northwest Art Center lecture will feature members of the Minot Area Sex Offender Task Force: 7 p.m., Hartnett Hall’s Aleshire Theater. Paula Bosh, FBI; Lisa Gayzur, Ward County Social Services; and Sgt. Darren Dyke, Minot Police Department, will discuss this year’s Sexual Assault Awareness Month campaign, “It’s Time … To Get Involved.” The campaign focuses on empowering individuals to prevent sexual violence by offering viable and responsible ways to intervene. An informal reception will follow the reception. The lecture is free and open to the public.
