JACKSON, MS (WLBT) – Jackson Police are looking for the man who fired shots at a night club and struck a teenage girl at a nearby service station.

Officer Colendula Green says a 16-year-old was in the parking lot of Fuel Express on Medgar Evers Boulevard when she was hit.

The teen told investigators that she saw a man sitting in the gas station parking lot when he pulled out a gun and starting firing at the purple passion club next door. One of the rounds struck the girl in the buttocks. She was transported by private vehicle to UMC and is listed in stable condition.

Police say the gunman then went onto the night club parking lot and even shot rounds into the club window.

No other injuries were reported.
