The inventory of Clark County homes listed for sale through the region’s multiple listing service in January increased to an 11.7-month supply, up from 9.1 months in December, but down from 12.4 months worth of inventory in the same month last year.
According to Portland-based RMLS, the January data mean it would take 11.7 months to sell the 3,289 new and pre-owned homes for sale here if no new listings were added.
Last month’s listings also were down from January’s record-high of 21 months in 2009. The RMLS, which reflects only the houses listed through its service, reported that 280 Clark County houses were sold in January, up 1.8 percent from the 275 homes sold in January 2010.
