It looks like the sequel to the Samsung Galaxy S will soon be available to us Brits, as a UK retailer has hastily listed the next-generation Android smartphone.
MobileFun is already listing the Samsung Galaxy S2 ahead of its launch at next week’s Mobile World Congress, along with the first “official” picture of the upcoming handset. We’re a bit suspicious of the premature listing however, as the blurry image looks like a bit of a ropey fake, and the listed specs match up perfectly with those from previous rumours.
Still, maybe the rumours were right. According to the retailer, the Galaxy S2 will arrive sporting a dual-core 1.2GHz Orion processor, 1GB RAM, Android 2.3 OS, a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, NFC technology, Bluetooth 3.0, an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p video capture and a 1.3 megapixel webcam.
Although the handset’s pricing and release date is yet to be confirmed, MobileFun is listing the Gingerbread-equipped smartphone with a SIM free price tag of £549.95. Once available, it’s expected to be available on subsidized pay monthly deals.
