Rumor: Apple iPhone 5 to Arrive First Week of June

Share

So here’s the latest buzz on the upcoming iPhone 5. Analysts believe that Apple will release the next iteration of the iPhone in the first week of June; to be more specific between June 5 – 9.

This isn’t based on some tea leaves premonition, but more from a mysterious event that Apple has booked for what it’s believed to be the WWDC 2011 event — which will fall on said dates. You see, Apple has always introduced their new iPhones during the WWDC event every year and it usually falls in Summer.

According to events listed on the Moscone Center, the venue in which the event is to take place, there are two other Apple-related events in the coming months though. The first is listed for May 10-11, while the second is for June 22-23. Some speculate that the May date is when Apple will officially introduce the next generation iPad.

For now, details are still scarce on the upcoming iPhone 5. But we do know that Apple has decided to switch to Qualcomm chip, which comes with an integrated CDMA and GSM technology.
