Snow closing policy
The Senior Center is closed if the Beverly school system closes the schools, or is delayed. In the event of a delay, all activities, including transportation (prior to the time of delay) will be cancelled. School closing announcements are broadcast on local TV stations.
The center may also be closed at the discretion of the director if inclement weather occurs. However, if schools are closed for consecutive days, the director and the center’s building manager may, if conditions warrant, determine to open the center.
Seniors can call the center to hear a voice-recorded message with determination of opening/closing at 978-921-6017.
A determination regarding the center’s transportation service during an extended period of bad weather will be made independent of a decision to open the center.

Fuel Assistance clients may be eligible for additional discounts on utility bills. Homeowners may be eligible for other programs to assist with weatherization and emergency repairs of heating systems.
