West Wichita’s Side Pockets sports bar and billiards hall is for sale.
Owners Matthew Robinson and Tyler Gordon have listed the business at 600 S. Tyler at $449,900. It opened 10 years ago and leases 13,500 square feet in the Kellogg Crossing shopping center.
Reached by phone, Gordon said he would have a comment about the listing a later time.
The store is a franchise of the Kansas City-based chain of Side Pockets sports bars, which consists of seven stores, mostly in the Kansas City area. The chain also has one location near St. Louis.
Richard Hawkins, a co-founder of the chain, says he didn’t know the Wichita store was up for sale. But he says it has done well overall.
“It performs as well as the Wichita economy is — when the airline people are doing well. And when they aren’t, it doesn’t do as well,” Hawkins says.
Gene Peterson, of Realty Executives of Wichita, is the listing agent for the business.
