Mansfield real estate agent Dean Shipley says he’s taken plenty of calls since the two-bedroom fibro home on the edge of Lake Eildon went on the market – but admits not all have been serious.

“They ask me how much it is and then of course they wait for me to give them that information and then they tell me I’m dreaming and hang up,” Mr Shipley said, in reference to one of the trademark sayings of Daryl Kerrigan (played by Michael Caton) in the 1997 movie.

“It’s a lot of fun and a great movie and we don’t mind having a bit of fun.”

The asking price for the shack (serenity included) is $195,000.

Mr Shipley says property prices in the area, like the lake, have risen over the past 12 months.
