The Internal Revenue Service Taxpayer Assistance Center at 305-17th Ave. SW in Minot will be open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to assist taxpayers eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit. Taxpayers with incomes of $48,362 or less may be eligible to claim this refundable credit. Taxpayers should bring a photo identification for themselves and their spouse, Social Security cards and dates of birth for all people listed on the return, income statements, dependent child-care information including payee’s name, address and federal identification number, proof of account for direct deposit and the prior year’s tax return if available.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Dakota will hold its Seventh Annual Walk for Wishes: Check-in at 9 a.m. at the main entrance, walk at 10 a.m. Minot High School-Magic City Campus. The event is an indoor 5K. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges before the event and money raised will go toward granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. Minot Area Chamber of Commerce’s Saturday Legislative Forum: 9 to 11 a.m., Minot Municipal Auditorium’s Room 201. The forum is open to the public and gives people a chance to ask legislators about pending legislation and discuss legislative issues.

The Taube Museum of Art will host the fourth annual Soup It Up fundraiser: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the museum, 2 N. Main St. The first 100 people attending will take home a soup bowl created by people in the Minot State University Ceramics Department. Several chefs from local restaurants are contributing their time and soup. Artisan breads will be provided by Marketplace Foods and volunteers will bring desserts. A silent auction and sale of handcrafted pottery by MSU students and instructors and by local artist Susan Davy will be held. Tickets are $10 for Taube Museum members and $15 for nonmembers, and $5 for children ages 10 and younger, which does not include a bowl but gives them the opportunity to create artwork in the Taube’s Education Classroom. 2nd Story Social Club’s Annual Snowball Fundraiser: 6 p.m., Minot Municipal Auditorium Armory. Music will be provided by Tin Star. The fundraiser is sponsored by the Minot Eagles Aerie and Auxiliary. The event is free and open to the public, except for dinner. Events will include a silent auction, raffle and prizes. Proceeds will benefit 2nd Story, a social club for adults with developmental disabilities.
“Dakota Air: The Radio Show” will be presented: 7 p.m., Minot State University’s Ann Nicole Nelson Hall. Several musicians and comedians will perform. General admission tickets are $16 per person. Tickets are available at the Minot Area Council of the Arts office, the MSU Division of Music, and any Gate City Bank in Minot. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Minot Public School Foundation, the Minot Area Council of the Arts and the the MSU Division of Music.
Benefit art auction for the Minot Officers’ Spouses’ Club: Art preview at 6 p.m., auction at 7 p.m., The Vegas, 2315 N. Broadway. More than 200 works of art by national and internationally recognized artists will be auctioned. Hors d’oeuvres will be served with a buy the slice dessert and gourmet dessert auction. A cash bar will be available. Admission is $12 before Feb. 1 or $14 at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Minot Officers’ Spouses’ Club Charitable Fund for local and national charities and a scholarship fund.
