James Versalovic and his wife, Jane, have listed for sale a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home at 2102 MacArthur St. in University Place for $719,000.
The Versalovics acquired the property in Nov. 2001. The 3,448-square-foot house was built in 1996 in the Southgate subdivision. Mary Kay Casey of Heritage Texas Properties is the listing agent for the home.
Dr. Versalovic is a molecular genetic pathologist who operates his own private practice in Houston. He works as a professor of molecular and human genetics, a professor of molecular virology and microbiology and the head of pediatric infectious diseases section at the Baylor College of Medicine. Previously, he worked as a research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.D. and Ph.D. from the Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and his fellowships at the Baylor College of Medicine, Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
