Minot State University’s Center for Engaged Teaching and Learning invites the community to an Engagement Fair and Poster Session: noon to 1:30 p.m., MSU’s Old Main. The fair will include short presentations on engaged teaching and learning in the classroom and community, booths by community organizations and MSU poster presentations. The event is free and open to the public. Food will be available for purchase from a variety of student organizations.
Faith United Methodist Church’s food and clothing pantry is open Wednesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. The church is located at 801 W. University Ave.
Northern Plains Electric Cooperative district meeting: District 1, 5 p.m., Cando Public School. The meeting will include election of directors to the Northern Plains board, and a complimentary supper. The election will take place during the business meeting, which will include a video presentation and an update from the manager. Incumbent director Curtis Wiesz, Heaton, is running for re-election.
Minot Recreation Commission Adult Summer Softball mandatory managers meeting: 7 p.m., Minot Municipal Auditorium, Room 201. The meeting is mandatory for all adult softball teams that want to compete in a league this summer. Information packets will only be available for managers who attend the meeting. Team registration fees will be $170 per team. Individual user fees will be $50 for double-header leagues. Call 857-4730 for more information.
