Northern Plains Electric Cooperative district meetings: Tuesday, District 2, 5 p.m., in Fessenden Festival Hall; and Wednesday, District 1, 5 p.m., in the Cando Public School. Both meetings will include elections of directors to the Northern Plains board, and complimentary suppers. Elections will take place during the business meetings, which will include video presentations and updates from managers. Incumbent directors Bruce Olson of Cando, representing District 1, and Curtis Wiesz, Heaton, representing District 2, are running for re-election.
Minot State University will present guest speaker Carlotta Walls LaNier: 7 p.m., MSU’s Aleshire Theater, Hartnett Hall. LaNier, author of “A Mighty Long Way,” will speak about her life as a student at Little Rock Central High School. Her talk is free and open to the public.
