Volunteer Income Tax Assistance volunteers and city officials will start the income-tax season today with “Super Saturday” events at five VITA locations.
VITA volunteers will assist San Antonians in filing tax claims, including tax credits such as the Earned Income Tax Credit and the child tax credit, at 26 locations throughout the city for individuals with low to moderate incomes of $55,000 annually or less. Families need to bring a photo identification, Social Security card or tax identification number, and all W-2 forms. The assistance is free for qualified taxpayers.
The “Super Saturday” events will be held at 9 to 10 a.m. at the YWCA at 503 Castroville Road, 10 to 11 a.m. at Antioch Community Transformation Network/Claude W. Black Community Center at 2805 E. Commerce St., 11 a.m. to noon at Goodwill Industries at 13311 San Pedro Ave., noon to 1 p.m. at Miller’s Pond Community Center at 6175 Old Pearsall Road and 1 to 2 p.m. at the Presa Community Center, 3721 S. Presa St.
