The North Dakota Association of Dance and Drill’s Class A and B Dance and Drill Competition: Continues Saturday, Minot State University Dome. The competition is for junior high, junior varsity and varsity teams. Team registration and music checks will be Saturday from 7 to 8 a.m., and the doors will open to the public at 8 a.m. The awards ceremony will be at 6:30 p.m. The event is open to the public but there is a charge. A Saturday day pass is $17 for adults and $13 for students and senior citizens. A Saturday finals only pass is $10 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens.
The MSU Men’s Hockey Club will host the Annual Craft and Create Day: Vendors may set up at 8 a.m. and the hockey craft and create fundraiser will start at 9 a.m., MSU’s Student Center, Third Floor Conference Center. The Internal Revenue Service Taxpayer Assistance Center at 305-17th Ave. SW will be open Saturday, Jan. 29, and Saturday, Feb. 5, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to assist taxpayers eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit. Taxpayers with incomes of $48,362 or less may be eligible to claim this refundable credit. Taxpayers should bring a photo identification for themselves and their spouse, Social Security cards and dates of birth for all people listed on the return, income statements, dependent child-care information including payee’s name, address and federal identification number, proof of account for direct deposit and the prior year’s tax return if available.
Minot Area Chamber of Commerce’s Saturday Legislative Forum: 9 to 11 a.m., Minot Municipal Auditorium’s Room 201. The forum is open to the public and gives people a chance to ask legislators about pending legislation and discuss legislative issues.
Seventh Annual Triple “T” Toy Show: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Vegas Motel. Admission is $3 per person except for children ages 8 and younger, who will be admitted for free.

Minot Symphony Orchestra Concert Lecture: 6:30 p.m., Minot State’s University, Ann Nicole Nelson Hall.
The 85th season of the Minot Symphony Orchestra, titled “Old World, New World,” continues with its annual family concert titled “A Rich, Full Day”: 7:30 p.m., MSU’s Ann Nicole Nelson Hall. Tickets range from $5 to $25 by age and seating choice. Season tickets are available. A preconcert lecture set for 6:30 p.m. is $10 for adults, $5 for students or free with season ticket.
