BALLARAT’S Kryal Castle has finally been sold.

A mystery buyer has bought the medieval-style building, which was advertised for sale at $10 million in 2007.

The tourist attraction, built in 1972 by Keith and Joyce Ryall, had been listed for sale several times in the last few years, but had struggled to attract suitable new owners.

The 10.9ha property comes with a bluestone castle, moat, drawbridge, tavern and maze.

Ms Ryall yesterday refused to say what would become of the unusual tourist attraction, saying only that “official details” would be made public soon.
