Autism Speaks VP sells Hancock Park 3BD

Sophia A. Colamarino has listed for sale a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 403 N. Plymouth Blvd in Greater Mid-Wilshire/Hancock Park for $845,000.

June Ahn of Coldwell Banker is the listing agent. Colamarino bought the property for $855,000 in Jan. 2005. The 1,279-square-foot house was built in 1921.

Colamarino is the vice president of research of Autism Speaks, a private funder of autism biomedical research worldwide. She is also a consulting associate professor at the Stanford University Medical School. Previously, she was the science director of Cure Autism Now Foundation. She has over 16 years experience in laboratory research.

Colamarino holds dual degrees in biological sciences and psychology from Stanford University, and received her Ph.D. in neurosciences from the University of California-San Francisco.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 434 home sales in Greater Mid-Wilshire/Hancock Park during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $590,000.
