Bears list safety Chris Harris questionable for Sunday

Veteran safety Chris Harris returned to practice Friday in a limited role, giving the Chicago Bears confidence he will be able to play in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game.

However, a source said he didn’t do a lot on the field and Harris has been listed as questionable for the game.

“Chris Harris was able to do some things today so we feel like we’ll have our entire group ready to go for that and just feel like we’re ready to play,” coach Lovie Smith said.

Harris suffered a left hip pointer in last Sunday’s divisional round victory over the Seattle Seahawks. He’s been adamant he will play, but he was held out of practices Wednesday and Thursday and now there is some doubt.

“We’ll see,” Harris said. “I think I’ll be fine, I’m hoping to be fine. I was able to get a little work in here today indoors, so we’ll see.”

If Harris cannot play, rookie Major Wright will make his first career start in his place.

The Packers ruled linebacker Frank Zombo out with a knee injury. Interior offensive lineman Jason Spitz is questionable. Other than that, both teams look ready to go.
