A Seattle business landed in the top ten of Fortune Magazine’s list of the 100 best companies to work for.
REI comes in at number 9, because of perks like paid sabbaticals and free gear.
“It’s news that we’re proud of, because two-thirds of what puts you on this list of Fortune’s Top 100 is how your own employees feel about you as an employer, says REI’s Michelle Clements.
Clements says the company works to create an environment where employees can be at their best, “and celebrate what their talents and gifts are.”
Microsoft, Starbucks, Nordstrom, Perkins Coie and the Everett Clinic all made the top 100.
