UK retailer got everyone excited by mistake.

Zavvi.com got everyone excited about Pikmin is coming to the 3DS after a listing on its website, but the retailer has since confirmed that the game was listed in error.

Recent comments made by Satoru Iwata, president and CEO of Nintendo, had spurred speculation of a Pikmin title for 3DS, but he was merely looking at a still image created to show off the 3DS’ 3D display.

No Pikmin title for the 3DS has been announced by Nintendo.

Retailers have a mixed history when it comes to accurately listing future video game releases. While it’s perfectly possible that Pikmin will come to the 3DS, no such game has been announced for the launch period (until June) and the game hasn’t been teased at all by Nintendo.
