LeBron James will play in tonight’s Atlanta Hawks-Miami Heat game and the line is holding at -6.
ESPN reporter Michael Wallace tweeted a half hour before tip off, “LeBron James listed as starting as usual small forward spot. Joel Anthony replacing Bosh at PF.”
The Heat will be without All-Star big man Chris Bosh (ankle) tonight when they take the court against the visiting Hawks.
James missed Saturday’s loss 3-point loss and ATS push to the Chicago Bulls as well as last Thursday’s blowout setback to the Denver Nuggets. Miami got points in both games, marking only the six time in 42 games the team was an underdog.
“We opened the game at -6 and our bettors really haven’t touched it much, MGM and Mirage oddsmaker Jeff Stoneback told Covers.com an hour before tipoff. “People want to know if LeBron is going to play before they put their money down.
Stoneback added that he’d move the line down to -2 or -2.5 if James was ruled out.
“You know those guys account for like 70 percent of (Miami’s) offense. I’d say Bosh is worth [to the line] a basket, [Dwyane] Wade is worth 4 points and James is worth 4 or 5.
