If there’s ever any doubt that Apple is preparing new models of the iPad, and there really wasn’t, Best Buy is already putting up three new models of the tablet on its website. However, no release date is shared yet and they are still under the “coming soon” category.
Here’s what is known so far from the listing. The three SKUs of the iPad models only reveal that they will come with WiFi. Information about 3G support isn’t yet listed — so we can safely remove the Verizon-bound CDMA iPad out of the equation for now. It’s likely that this listing is reserved for the upcoming Apple iPad 2.
Best Buy has two of the models listed at $599, while the third model is listed at $699 — a hundred bucks more expensive. The company didn’t put up any images to the listing, so we can forget about trying to analyze them to death like people usually do.
The Apple iPad 2 is expected to be announced soon. Some say late January, while another say early February. The tablet is to come with a higher resolution display, camera, new dual core processor, as well as a host of other improvements.
