Five Things for Tuesday: City Council Meeting and Film at the Library

2.  The Pleasanton Public Library, 400 Old Bernal Ave., will host the Mature Adult Program (MAP), “Afternoon Movies for the Young at Heart,” 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Sergio is the story of 55-year-old Sergio Vieira de Mello, the world’s “go-to guy” who devoted his life to the simple belief that people the world over have a basic right to live their lives with dignity. 4.  Plan for college. High-school juniors and parents are invited to attend the College Planning Workshop 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Tri-Valley YMCA, 4725 First St., Suite 210, Pleasanton.  A counselor will speak about the SAT/SATII/ACT exams. $10 per nonmember family, free to YMCA members. 5.  The ValleyCare Cancer Support Group meets 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the ValleyCare Health Library, 5575 W. Las Positas, Pleasanton.
